To be perfectly honest, we were a little skeptical when (all those years ago now) "BoJack Horseman" debuted on Netflix. A cartoon? Really? We were more clueless than Todd Chavez! Where is the Sugarman family lake house that BoJack spent time when he was a child?

During his not-so-happy childhood, BoJack spent time at the Sugarman family's lake house in Michigan. In the series, he returned to the house and found it run down. With the help of the widower dragonfly across the street, BoJack fixed it up.

And, the award for the neediest character ever goes to ... BoJack Horseman! Creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg and production designer Lisa Hanawalt have been friends since high school and even modeled some of the characters after their former classmates.

One of our favorite episodes of "BoJack Horseman" is the Christmas special. From the Christmas special to regular episodes, "BoJack Horseman" was unique in that there was a table read for each episode. The actors actually got to interact with each other, unlike most animated shows.

Princess Carolyn's little bundle of joy is a porcupine named Sadie! She adopted her from a young woman in her hometown in North Carolina. Todd, who actually end up living with Princess Carolyn, helped care for Sadie.

There are so many moments in "BoJack Horseman" when we didn't know if we wanted to laugh or cry. This quote from the title character was one of them. Will Arnett said that, because BoJack was often so dark, it was one of the hardest roles in his career.

Diane is a Boston girl! Stylistically, Diane was inspired by another animated character, Daria. But the production designer said the similar military jackets were just a coincidence.

BoJack's not-so-nice father was Butterscotch Horseman. He claimed to be writing the next great American novel but was actually just abusive to his son and wife, Beatrice. Beatrice was heiress to the Sugarman sugar cube fortune.

This wasn't one of his quirky ventures. Todd donated his kidney to his mother. The episode is called "The Kidney Stays in the Picture." Later, after staging a fake kidnapping, Todd finally reconnected with his mom.
